In this position, you will support the assembly, integration, inspection, and testing of products and assemblies using established manufacturing procedures and work instructions. This role contributes to manufacturing operations by producing quality hardware, supporting production activities, and learning manufacturing processes to ensure products satisfy engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
Working cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, quality, production control, and supply chain teams, this role supports manufacturing activities throughout the production lifecycle.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components, subassemblies, and products using approved work instructions, drawings, and manufacturing procedures.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, production equipment, and test equipment supporting manufacturing activities.
- Perform routine production tasks while maintaining established quality and productivity standards.
- Perform basic visual and dimensional inspections using measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Verify completed assemblies meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Record production, inspection, and traceability information in manufacturing documentation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, production control, and supply chain teams supporting production activities.
- Support material handling, workstation organization, equipment preparation, and inventory accuracy.
- Communicate production status, quality concerns, and equipment issues to supervisors and team members.
- Follow manufacturing procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and company policies.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while supporting 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Recommend improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Less than 1 year of related experience in manufacturing, production assembly, mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, or related production operations.
- Foundational knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and manufacturing documentation.
- Basic understanding of quality standards, inspection techniques, and safe manufacturing practices.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing documentation, material handling, and production procedures.
- Applies attention to detail and sound judgment while supporting manufacturing operations.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, production equipment, measuring equipment, and material handling equipment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and inspection records.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment consistent with manufacturing operations, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, test equipment, and production systems used to support assembly and manufacturing operations.
